Veronafiere in the forefront on the second Global Exhibition Day
For one day the trade fair system illustrates all the opportunities created by its own operations for reference territories, exports and company internationalization.
Leader in Italy BY square meters sold for international events and one of the top European trade fair organisers with major shows such as Vinitaly, Marmomac, Fieracavalli and Fieragricola: Veronafiere celebrates today the second Global Exhibition Day as a true protagonist. Launched in 2016 by UFI – the association that brings together the world’s leading trade fair organizers – and promoted in Italy by AEFI – the Italian Exhibition and Trade Fair Association, the event on 7 June highlights the important social and economic status of this industry.
Mention need only be made that, in Italy, trade fairs are still the only tool ensuring visibility on international markets for 88% of SMEs. Veronafiere has operated in this context for almost 120 years. It attended the Round Table organised by AEFI this morning in Rome c/o the Head Offices of the ICE Trade Agency as part of the celebrations of the Global Exhibition Day.
“Veronafiere,” said Board Member Barbara Blasevich in her report during the event, “is an effective example of skill in making the most of the vocations of its own local area – such as wine, agro-foods and natural stone – to create internationally renowned and successful trade fair products, with evolution from local to global. In 2016, Veronafiere attracted 1.3 million visitors and generated 1.2 billion euros in allied business in the province of Verona alone.”
