Ortigia, G7 Agricolture: Veronafiere in the forefront at Divinazione Expo 2024

During the G7 event in Ortigia, Veronafiere and its events will promote a more sustainable and innovative future for the Made in Italy agro-food sector.  Veronafiera will attend Divinazione Expo 2024 (21-27 September). The exhibition is taking place alongside: the forum bringing together Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries from the seven most industrialised countries in the world.

Fieragricola, Fieragricola Tech, Vinitaly, SOL-International Olive Oil Trade Show and Fieracavalli are all exhibitions developed and organised directly by Veronafiere and are the protagonists of the expo organised in Sicily by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry. These are trade fair brands that form a bridge between companies, institutions and global markets. They support the international valorisation of supply chains ranging from agriculture to wine, extra virgin olive oil, and livestock farming with an emphasis on biodiversity.

During Divinazione Expo 2024, Veronafiere’s exhibitions will host a calendar of initiatives, including wine and olive oil tastings, master classes, training sessions, entertainment and previews of upcoming editions of the shows.

Fieragricola and Fieragricola Tech – In Ortigia, the location for Fieragricola Tech (29-30 January 2025) and Fieragricola (28-31 January 2026) is Area 1–Stand B in Piazzale Elio Vittorini. It has its own crossways exhibition model, to promote innovation in sectors such as agricultural mechanics, livestock farming, robotics, vineyards, orchards, olive groves and specialist crops, renewable energy, smart irrigation, biosolutions and specialist conferences. These two events accompany the agricultural world along the path towards ecological transition, resilience to climate change, and sustainable agricultural policies, with a focus on agro-food production, thereby supporting the competitiveness of agricultural companies and the development of rural areas, as well as promoting generational turnover.

Vinitaly –The Vinitaly Lounge is located inside the Old Market in Syracuse, a short stroll from the Theatre of Apollo. Here, exhibitors are provided space where they can present their winemaking background or hold wine tastings. Six talks involving Wine Consortia and the Italian Regions are scheduled on Thursday 26, Friday 27 and Saturday 28. The expo will also be an opportunity to preview the next edition of Vinitaly (6-9 April 2025) and the first Vinitaly USA event (20-21 October 2024).

SOL –SOL-International Olive Oil Trade Show is located next to the Vinitaly Lounge, in the courtyard of Siracusa Market, where the world of olive oil is explained. from production through to the finished product. The interactive EVO Bar enables visitors to choose between free or assisted tastings that pay tribute to Sicily and the G7, as well as products from other extra-virgin producer countries invited to attend this institutional event. SOL’s upgraded format, scheduled in Verona 2-4 March 2025, will be presented during the exhibition week.

Fieracavalli –The Fieracavalli ring and related spaces in Piazzale Elio Vittorini will invite visitors, over the weekends of 21-22 and 26-27 September, to take part in all kinds of activities as a way to learn more about the world of horses. From the Saddle Christening, through equestrian animations designed to explain the special features of all breeds to audiences – with a special focus on Italian breeds ones – to end with an equestrian show with performances by important Sicilian artists that will stage the music and traditions of local history. This is just a small preview of the impressive programme of events that will take the stage at the coming edition of Fieracavalli in Verona, scheduled 7-10 November 2024.
