Progetto Fuoco 2026: new dates from February 25 to 28
The Veronafiere event postponed to avoid overlapping with the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics, scheduled in Verona on February 22, 2026.
Progetto Fuoco reschedules for the Olympics. The 15th edition of Veronafiere’s biennial trade show dedicated to wood biomass heating will now take place from February 25 to 28, 2026. The one-week postponement was necessary due to the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in Verona on February 22, 2026.
The final Olympic event is expected to bring an extraordinary number of visitors to the city, including hundreds of sports delegations, athletes, officials, and thousands of spectators. In the three days leading up to the ceremony, special security measures imposed by the Olympic Committee will also be in effect. For this reason, Veronafiere, as the organizer of Progetto Fuoco, in agreement with the city administration, has decided to reschedule the event from its previously announced dates (February 18-21).
“While it is a great honor for our city to host this Olympic event,” explains Adolfo Rebughini, General Director of Veronafiere, “as a trade fair organizer, we consider it our duty to ensure the best possible environment for the next edition of Progetto Fuoco. This means guaranteeing exhibitors and industry professionals an optimal experience, avoiding any potential issues related to traffic, logistics, infrastructure, and services.”
The next milestone leading up to Progetto Fuoco 2026 will be the National Forum on Wood Energy: Policies, Incentives, and Actions for the Future of Renewable Heating, scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2025, at Veronafiere. This key event will provide an opportunity for strategic discussions on the future of the sector and energy policies (more info at www.progettofuoco.com).
