“Ukrainian Vitality” on display at Marmomac
A stone desert flourishing with works of art symbolising the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people. Six artistic products expressing strength and a desire for rebirth in times of conflict. Veronafiere and Marmomac have decided to support “Ukrainian Vitality”, the project arising from the creativity of seven of the country’s young designers. The Consulate General of Ukraine in Milan has ensured its support and chosen the 56th Marmomac (September 27-30) as an international stage.
The itinerary develops on the Ukraine stand (Hall 10, H1) as an inner journey where visitors can contemplate several symbols: from the red thread uniting the identity of the Ukrainian territory, to the stalks of wheat indicating rebirth and fertility and the North Star marking the way forward. These artefacts are the work of Alisa Lysykh, Anna Manako, Oleksandr Kysil, Valeria Vari, Marianna Yeleiko, Roksolana Dudka and Alina Kravchuk.
They were all produced in Ukraine exclusively using marble offcuts (camouflage italiano, rosso levante, bianco di Carrara, palissandro, calacatta verde, estremoz, nero marquino) made available by Instech, a Ukrainian family company specializing in natural stone processing, and Ilab.design, which deals with production and sale of decorations in natural stone. At the end of the trade fair, all these sculptures will be sold at auction and the proceeds will be donated to the artists as an effective contribution towards the development of their careers in design.
