Veronafiere: a meeting with a delegation of 50 operators from Sichuan Province, China
Veronafiere’s main events in the agro-food sector – Vinitaly, Fieragricola, Sol&Agrifood and Enolitech – were outlined as the same time the political-business initiatives implemented by Veronafiere in Asia.
Veronafiere plays a major role for Italy on the Silk Road, thanks to business operations in China since 1998 and its offices in Shanghai. This involvement came into being thanks to the long-standing presence of Vinitaly in China and the agreements reached with important players such as Alibaba, 1919, Cofco and Pacco, as well as collaboration going back many years with the Shanghai Wine & Dine Festival, the Chengdu International Wine & Spirits Show and the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair. An agreement is also currently being finalized between Veronafiere-Fieragricola and Sichuan International Exhibition Co. Ltd., the promoter of the Sichuan Agricultural Expo.
And an institutional and trade delegation precisely from Sichuan Province – comprising 50 operators guided by CCIPT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, B2B Relationships and Attendance at Trade Fairs) – today met Veronafiere SpA management in the Wine2Digital offices of Vinitaly International.
The delegation also included owners of many hotel and restaurant facilities from Chengdu, one of the main city in the Chinese province where Vinitaly International has been active for a long time.
“Today was an important occasion for business meetings,” said Annamaria Gimigliano, Director of Human Resources, Planning and Development at Veronafiere. We outlined the activities of Veronafiere SpA – soon to celebrate its 120th anniversary – the spheres where it operates as a direct organizer of exhibitions, its business plan and digital transformation and innovation project.”
